A song I am happy to sing...

I was watching Whale Wars tonight, and it was probably the worst episode. They flew in the helicopter to see what was up with the japs, and the 2 whales were in front of the ship (they already killed 3 other whales) and were trying to escape the ship. Finally one popped up, and to our fear, bam... He was harpooned. Me and my little brother watched as the whale was fighting the harpoon, while be rifled at. The whale was suffacating in his own blood when finally, he took his last breath, and flooded to the top of the water. My little brother, only 5, burst into tears. I asked him whats wrong, he didnt answer. My mom said did you see the whale get shot. He shook his head yes. I was already tears. Here is there theme song. Think about the lyrics hard.....
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Bullet with Butterfly Wings
The world is a vampire, sent to drain, secret destroyers, hold you up to the flames
And what do I get for my pain?
Betrayed desires, and a piece of the game
The world is a vampire, sent to drainSecret destroyers, hold you up to the flamesAnd what do I get for my pain?Betrayed desires, and a piece of the game(chorus)Even though I know - I suppose Ill showAll my cool and cold-like old jobDespite all my rage Im still just a rat in a cage (2x)Then someone will say what is lost can never be savedDespite all my rage Im still just a rat in a cage
Now Im naked, nothing but an animal
But can you fake it, for just one more show? And what do you want, I want to change
And what have you got when you feel the same
Tell me Im the only oneTell me theres no other oneJesus was an only son
Tell me Im the chosen oneJesus was an only son for you
Chrous)
Despite all my rage Im still just a rat in a cage
Then someone will say what is lost can never be saved
Despite all my rage Im still just a rat in a cage
And I still believe that I cannot be saved

Dark Night
Everynight before I go to bed, I always have to take Jazz. When I do, I usualy have to put her on a leash kinda thing and hold it as she does her thing. This time when I let her out, she walked in the other direction. I figured she would stay in the yard. She went pee then ran up to where our rope swing was. She likes to do her stuff up there. I think she did, but then she headed further in the woods. I called out to her, but she didnt come running. I could hear her paw steps slowly fating into the darkness. I sat out there for a few mintues. When she didn't return, I went inside and grabbed the treat box. I made noises with it, figuring she would come running for a treat. (But there was none in there) It was about 10:30 when I let her out, and was about 10:32 when Tobey wanted to come outside. I figured he wanted a treat since he heard it. I told him Jazz ran in the woods, and told him to "find her" He gave me a stare then put his nose to the deck and circled the chairs I was sitting in. "What are you doing?" I asked him. Tobey looked up at me and said, "Searching"
"Jazz is in the woods. Go up there and find her. Not the deck" He panted.
"You go find Jazz. I am searching for treats!"
I ignored his contenst begs and grabbed my laptop and started to finish my early blog. My brother let Tobey in and let Buster out. Buster stood in front my chair and looked at me. I opened the jar and poured the tiny crumbs and treat dust on the deck. He licked it up and gazed at me some more. He went over to a water dish and lapped up a few sips. He paced all around the deck. I was starting to get scared in slience. I could hear the rain drops falling off the trees and plopping on the dirt and grass. The bushes moving i nthe wind, and Buster annoying click-a-dee-clack nails on the deck and his laps from the bowls. It was 11:00 when I heard Jazzy's paws pounding against the ground. I looked up from my laptop and saw her pacing down the hill with something in her mouth. I knew right away, she was in someones trash. She always does that if she is let loose. At first, I thought it was eaten corn on the cob, but when she finally hopped on the deck, I grabbed her collar and gripped the thing. I thought she would let go of it, but she kepted it in her mouth. "Drop it" Still didnt let go. I was then tapping on her nose gently to make her let go. She finally did. I observed the thing. It looks like wheat high, but didnt really. I asked Jazz "Where have you been?" She looking at me with puppy eyes and a smile.
"No where"
"Yes you have. What is this?"
"I dont know" I grabbed her collar and tossed whatever it was in the yard. I brought her inside and told my brother I got her. I knew now to be safer with Jazzy.
Then I realized something........
Maybe thats why the said Not to let your greyhound off the leash?

Another Walk, Another Tobey's bark

Everyday when I get home, I immetidatly walk the dogs. I got home and was attacked by Jazzy's licks and hops. I was finally able to get the leashs and called out "Who wants to go for a walk?" Tobey walks over to me and I quickly clip the leash on to his collar. I call it again "Who wants to go for a walk?" even louder. I could hear Jazzy's nails clip and clap against floor. She runs around the corner and bounds to me. I quickly dodge her before she claws me. She finally calmed down and I clipped the leash on to her collar. I opened the door, and my arms were almost ripped out of the socket. Thats how strong they are. We strolled down they road when another dog came into view. See, Tobey has this VERY big crush on Jazz, but he acts like a father not letting Jazz see boys (or girls). When Tobey see's another dog, he will start to puff out air in anger and as the dog walks by, he barks his "mean" bark. When the dog is in front of us, he charges. And Jazz follows. Now, I am a 72 pound 11 year old girl walking 115 pound Tobey, and a 60 pound greyhound that can sprint 45 miles an hour. Who wins this tug-of-war you ask? Tobey and Jazz, of course. They pulled me so hard, I had to let go of the leashes. The dog was about 2 feet away when I did, and I quickly got the leashes. The dogs name was Eddie, and the owner was fine with how strong they were that I couldnt hold on. Jazz and Tobey would never hurt them (With males, sometimes Catution for Tobey) so they greeted Eddie. Tobey was pushing Eddie away from Jazz and tangling up his owner. We then moved on and let them off leash on a secret trail I take to get home.
I could pretty hear what Jazz was saying to Tobey, "You dont let me have friends" Tobey stops in his tracks "I do so." "No you dont!" "Yes I do" Tobey walks ahead of me trying to keep up with the prancing Jazz. "Well, you didnt let me be friends with that dog. He was nice" Jazz skips ahead. "I dont like boys as friends." Tobey trying to catch up to Jazz. "Come on! You act like my father." Jazz stops to sniff a plant. "He probably would like me to meet more guys"

"I'm your step-brother so I say no boys." Walks ahead of Jazz. Jazz gives Tobey a glare than walks on. I then ran ahead of them to the end of thee trail to catch. I was pretty sure Jazz and Tobey never talked after that. I wonder if its a brother/sister thing?

A Hot Day
This weekend was much better than last week. It was bright, sunny and had to be outside weather. After I had breakfast, I came outside with my mom and step-dad and we talked. I went inside to get a drink when Jazz and Tobey stood in my way. "Excuse me" I said. They just looked at me. Again "Excuse me" but they stood their grounds. I finally just got out of my way and and let them outside. I got my drink and Buster was at the door. I figured he wanted to be with mom, so I let him out. I sat back down and watched everyone. Thomas was lounging in the sun, Buster was begging for our sandwichs, Tobey was next to him snoozing and Jazz was laying on the grass with her head rested upon the deck step. My mom asked me to help her move some chairs. I helped her, when I came back, the dogs and cat had all moved. Thomas got up and layed under a bush, Tobey took Toms place, Buster stayed where he was and Jazz spread out in Tobey's place. I laughed at them then sat down and gave them all hugs. I took Jazz and Tobey for a nice walk we cooled down in the house. It was a nice day to spend with my puppies
